To everyone who auditioned for How I Became a Pirate,
I want to sincerely thank you all once again for auditioning! I’m proud of the work you put in to prepare for Tuesday evening. Auditions can be a nerve-wracking ordeal, but in my experience it does get a little easier each time. Casting a show is not a judge’s booth- we’re simply eager to see your act and what you bring to the table. Additionally, please know that there are always a variety of factors that come into play when deciding on casting. It can be something as simple as your scheduling conflicts just don’t mesh well with our rehearsal schedule. If you didn’t get a part you hoped for, I encourage you to stick with this production. They say “everything you do is an audition,” meaning we remember your work ethic and attitude from past shows, and that can be used to your advantage! If this is a passion or even just a hobby for you, working hard and being a team player will be remembered in the future. Congratulations to the cast! I hope to see everyone from Tuesday return for more auditions down the line! Yaaaar’s Truly, -Evan Hamlin, Director A parent/cast mandatory meeting will be held Monday March 28, 2022 at 6:00pm at the Edward R. Driggers City of Greer Center for the Arts.
