Art Class for Teens


Come join us for some creative fun fall art classes through the Greer Cultural Arts. Kids ages 8 to 18 are invited to register for art classes with Robin Byouk on Thursdays from 4:00 to 5:00 beginning October 8.

Classes will be held at the Tryon Recreation Center 226 Oakland Ave Greer The classes will meet once a week for eight weeks.

Cost for the entire 8-week session is $30 for city of Greer resident/$50 for non-city resident, and this fee includes all materials.

Please make checks payable to City of Greer, and plan to pay on or before the first class. Class size is limited, so contact Robin Byouk at

2015 Giving Thanks Student Art Show

The 2015 Giving Thanks Student Art Show is here with a new theme. "What have I given to others or what can I give to others".

Deadline for submissions is Oct 26, 2015

Original Music and Lyrics by  Richard M. Sherman and Robert B. Sherman Book by  Julian Fellowes New Songs and Additional Music and Lyrics by  George Stiles and Anthony Drewe Co-Created by  Cameron Mackintosh

Performances will be held at the J Harley Bonds Career Center  505 North Main St. Greer

Performances dates are Nov 6-8 & 13-15, 2015

Performances times are Friday and Saturday at 7:00pm and Sunday at 2:00pm

International Concert Pianist to perform in Greer

International Concert Pianist, Flavio Varani will be performing at the J Harley bonds Career Center on Saturday night Dec 5, 2015 at 7:30p.m.

This is a benefit concert for the Greer Cultural Arts Council.

Ticket Price is $30 which includes a reception with the artist after the show.

Here’s what you need to know:

Bring a headshot.

Bring your schedule of events to note conflicts.

Wear comfortable but professional clothes.

Wear dance shoes if possible.

Bring something to occupy your time while you wait your turn to audition.


Be prepared to sing 16 bars of a Disney song other than Lion King

Be prepared to learn a dance (we will be posting the audition video in the next couple of weeks).

Be prepared to give your best impression of an African animal when asked.

GCAC Board President, Neil Waldrop will be repelling off the Bank of America  building in downtown Greenville to raise money for the Greer Cultural Arts Council on October 3, 2015.  The Event is "Over the Edge" and benefits Goodwill Industried and other local charities of the participants choice.
