Honoring Seniors

GCAC would like to honor any graduating high school senior who has appeared in a GCT production over the years. You are cordially invited to attend the Sunday March 8 show of Aladdin Jr. -where we will invite you onto the stage one more time. Please let Robin know you are coming so we can have a free ticket waiting for you

Dance Classes

Dance Classes

Ms. June is holding another dance session starting this coming Tuesday. March 3, 2015.  It will run for 6 weeks.

Jazz  4-4:45pm (ages 8 and up)... Tap 5-5:45pm Beginner Tap 6-6:45pm (ages 6 and up)

Classes are held at the Tryon Recreation Center, 226 Oakland Ave. Greer. Cost- one class $45 for 6 weeks, two classes $75 for 6 weeks Please email to sign up and hold your spot.

Welcome to Agrabah, City of Enchantment and the fantastic tale of the street rat who became a prince!

All of your favorite characters from the hit Disney film - Aladdin, Jasmine, Iago, Jafar, the Genie, and more - are here. A musical adventure filled with magic, mayhem, and flying carpet rides. Disney's Aladdin JR. is an Academy award-winning score, with songs by Alan Menken, Howard Ashman, and Tim Rice, including "A Whole New World" and "Friend Like Me,"

Show Dates: Feb 27, 28, March 1 & March 6,7,8, 2015

Show times: Friday and Saturday at 7:00p.m. and Sundays at 2:00p.m.

Ticket Prices: Adults $15.00 Students/Seniors $12.00 Children under 5 $7.00

Students will be exposed to 4 areas of art including dance, drama, music and visual arts.

Campers age from 5-16-min       24 campers -max 36

Campers can be dropped off at 8:45, if an earlier drop off is needed please contact us to arrange. All campers must be picked up by 3:30 each day.

Beginner Theatre Camp

July 13-17, 2015


Students will learn character exploration, stage vocal techniques, comprehensive dance skills, stage presence, theatrical make-up and set design.

Campers age from 5-16-min   24 campers -max 36

Campers can be dropped off at 8:45, if an earlier drop off is needed please contact us to arrange.

All campers must be picked up by 3:30 each day.


Cost for Camp:

$165 per week

GCAC Members $145

Multiple Siblings $145


Advanced Camp with Performance (Title to be announced)


July 20-31, 2015

Advanced camp has great parts for Male and Female roles.

Campers age from 8-16-min   24 campers -max 30

Campers can be dropped off at 8:45, if an earlier drop off is needed please contact us to arrange.

All campers must be picked up by 3:30 each day.


Rehearsal Aug 4 or Aug 7 6:30-8:30pm

Load in to Cannon Sun Aug 19

Rehearsals before show Aug 10-13 6:00-8:30pm

Performances: Aug 14, 15 & 21,22, 2015 with strike after the show on Aug 22, 2015.

Applicants need to submit past theatrical history to be considered.

Performers must attend every day of camp and commit to the rehearsal schedule

Each cast member or family member will be required to volunteer for one performance.

Volunteer areas include concessions, child watching, set install and removal, back stage management or front house duty.


Advanced Camp cost:

$300 per camper for 2 week session- no extra cast fee

$270 for GCAC members

Camp Hours 9:00am-3:00pm



2015 Greer Goes Global Art Show

Greer Goes Global

The City of Greer 6th Annual Juried Art Exhibition

The City of Greer has become an International Destination with the addition of the Inland Port to the GSP Airport and BWM Manufacturing.

To celebrate our diversity, the city will hold an International Festival on April 11, 2015. Because this year's art show is closely tied to the festival, we are offering 2 themes this year.  Greer Goes Global which reflects the diversity of the upstate and Greer: An Upstate Destination which includes imagery of downtown Greer and the surrounding area. Both of these themes can be depicted through cultural happenings, events, people and places.

A $300 cash prize will be awarded to the Best in Show for each theme.

Entry Turn -in-

March 16-18, 2015 from 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday thru Friday at Greer City Hall.

We are accepting Professional and Student works.

International Festival

The City of Greer will be holding its Second Annual International Festival on April 11, 2015 from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.


We are currently looking for entertainment, food vendors and volunteers to staff country booths.
